SU7 Fleet Procurement — 3 Gates Before Any Commitment

Apr 4, 2026 EngiVolt Pro
[V] 3 Verified [C] 4 Claimed [I] 3 Inferred [?] 5 Data Gaps

Four performance claims. Three have zero published boundary conditions. Before treating any 2026 SU7 performance claim as an operational specification, three verification gates must clear. Gate 1 must be answered before any other evaluation begins.

Gate 1: Xiaomi Supercharger Within 5 km

Is there a Xiaomi supercharging station within 5 km of your primary operating base, with at least 2 operational guns per station to avoid queueing?

If no: the 12-minute charging claim and the 670 km / 15-minute claim are not your operational figures. The entire 897V performance premise is infrastructure-dependent. Stop evaluation here until Gate 1 clears.

If yes: proceed to Gate 2.

You can verify Gate 1 today. Open the Xiaomi charging app and check station locations against your operating base. That single check changes the entire calculation.

Supercharger Proximity Check
Data Gap
Manufacturer Claim
SU7 Max compatible with Xiaomi supercharging stations for peak charging performance [C]. 12-min 10-80% charging [C]. 670 km in 15 min under optimal conditions [C].
Engineering Reality Official claim only
[?] Xiaomi supercharging station count: DATA NOT AVAILABLE. [?] Geographic coverage and distribution: DATA NOT AVAILABLE. [V] 96-97% of public DC fast chargers cannot deliver 800V peak -- prior audit EVCIPA data. Without confirmed Xiaomi supercharger at operating base, all peak charging claims default to standard public charger performance.
? Data Gap Gate 1 is binary. Xiaomi supercharger within 5 km with 2+ guns: proceed. No supercharger: 12-min and 670-km claims do not apply to your fleet.

Gate 2: Highway Route Coverage

For highway-dependent operations: is the entire route covered by Xiaomi supercharging stations at intervals of 150 km or less?

Plan routes on verified data, not official claims:

  • 327 km at 85 km/h [V — Yiche independent test, 0-10C]
  • 540-630 km at 110-120 km/h cruising speed [I — engineering inference, ~20C]

Do not plan routes on the 902 km CLTC figure. That number describes a lab protocol at 28 km/h average, not your highway driving profile.

Gate 3: Cold Climate Operations

Does your operating environment regularly reach below -10C?

If yes: obtain independent cold-weather charging and range data before fleet commitment. Xiaomi completed an internal -39C operational test in February 2026 [V — Dongchedi], confirming the vehicle operates in extreme cold. Charging speed under that condition was not disclosed.

Engineering inference for -20C range: approximately 350-470 km [I]. This is a planning reference, not a commitment-grade number. Independent third-party cold-weather test expected Q3-Q4 2026 (Monitoring Trigger T3).

Do not use the 350-470 km inference for procurement commitment. Wait for T3.

Data Gap
Manufacturer Claim
12-min charging applies across conditions {CLM -- implicit from official page}. 902 km CLTC range [C].
Engineering Reality Official claim only
[V] Internal -39C test confirmed vehicle operation -- Dongchedi. [?] Charging speed at -39C: NOT DISCLOSED. Surviving cold is not charging fast in it. [I] At -20C: 350-470 km estimated range -- 65-75% capacity plus heating load. [?] Xiaomi cold-weather range figure: DATA NOT AVAILABLE for any temperature below standard test conditions. [?] Temperature boundary for 12-min claim: DATA NOT AVAILABLE.
? Data Gap INSUFFICIENT DATA for cold-climate fleet commitment. Wait for T3 -- independent cold-weather test expected Q3-Q4 2026.

Key Monitoring Triggers for Fleet Operators

T1 -- Independent Charging Curve
PARTIALLY TRIGGERED
Range data published by Yiche March 20 {VER}. Charging curve at real public charger still pending. Will confirm or challenge 12-min claim at non-Xiaomi chargers.
T3 -- Cold-Weather Charging Test
PENDING
Independent third-party test at -15C or below. Updates cold-climate fleet viability. Do not commit to cold-climate fleet operations until this data exists.
T5 -- Optimal Conditions Definition
NO COMMITMENT
Until Xiaomi defines optimal conditions for the 670 km / 15-min claim, that figure cannot be used in any fleet planning scenario. CP-03 stays DATA GAP permanently without this.

The complete audit covers all four challenge points, six monitoring triggers, and full data appendix with 24 primary data points and 11 known data gaps.
